CUSTOM DESIGNS

Creating A Concept Together

I have a variety of experience in different mediums and style, and am open to new ideas and versatile concepts. Black & Grey - Color - American Traditional - Blackwork, etc. I like to consult with clients ahead of time to make sure we are on the same page and they receive the perfect tattoo for them. I will typically request reference photos and inspiration from the client during consultation to make sure we are on the same page with the look they are wanting to go for, and to put me in the direction of what they are wanting to get. Feel free to email me reference photos during booking of things relevant to your concept - This helps me to come up with the vision that I need! Depending on the image and placement on body, some things I draw on or add to additionally at time of the appointment. This is always with the help of my client and with the goal to achieve an image together that we both can work with. Contacting me via email in this way is the best way to get started. Below I have a list of things to please include in emails for inquiries, as well as my policy on making appointments and setting up deposits.

TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Show Your Body Some Love

The way you take care of your tattoo after receiving it ultimately determines its healing process and results. Below are specific instructions for taking care of your new tattoo:
1. Be sure to keep it clean and dry for the first three days. Wash and rinse hands before washing the area to prevent the spread of germs. Use warm water and a perfume-free antibacterial soap, Dial Gold is perfect and inexpensive.
2. After you wash and rinse your tattoo gently about twice a day, pat dry with a paper towel.
3. For the first three days simply keep your tattoo clean and dry - It doesn't need to be rewrapped after the initial time, and is okay to be exposed to the air and non-irritating fabrics. You want to give it this time to breathe and settle in without putting lotion and ointments on it too soon.
4. On the third day it will be drying up by now - At this point use a plain, unscented lotion (Lubriderm is great) to lightly coat it and keep it moisturized. Continue this process for the next two weeks. It typically takes 2-3 weeks to heal and in this time it will scab over - This is normal, and it's important NOT to pick or scratch at your tattoo. It scabs to protect it while it heals. I guarantee all of my work and offer a touch up (if necessary) free of charge for up to 6 months. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I am here to help.

FAQS

Home: FAQ

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

There is a standard $50 minimum for tattoos. This covers set-up cost and the time taken to hold your slot. Typically small, simple tattoos will start at the minimum, and depending on size and detail goes up from there. A good ball park estimate to go by is for palm-sized and a bit bigger designs you are looking at roughly $150. Once again - Less or more depending on detail, whether it will be shaded with full color or not, etc. This is in no way set in stone and I never give a completely accurate price quote until we have decided on a design. I typically charge by the piece, not by hour. You will always know the cost of your tattoo before starting.

I WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M ON A LIMITED BUDGET. HOW DO YOU WORK WITH THIS?

I understand that tattoos are not a necessity, they are a gift you give yourself or others and we are all on a budget. If you have a certain amount you are working with or don't want to go past a certain amount, you are more than welcome to communicate this to me and we will make it work for you. I want my clients to feel comfortable about every aspect of the tattoo - from the design, to the process, to the amount they invest. Please feel free to be open to me about what you are working with and we will get you taken care of.

CAN I BRING ANYBODY WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Typically according to shop etiquette it is completely okay to bring 1-2 people with you, (but normally not minors, so nobody under the age of 18 please). When you are actually getting tattooed, due to limited space, you may only be able to have one person with you for support. If you are scheduled with me on a private basis, please communicate to me ahead of time if you will have company.

CLEANLINESS AND STERILITY

All equipment that I use for each individual is disposable and one-time-only use. I use tubes and needles that are pressure sterilized and pre-packaged separately, that are disposed of after the procedure. They maintain the same standards as surgical equipment and are regulated as well. I typically use latex or nitrile gloves, but if you have an allergy please let me know ahead of time. Medical soap and distilled water are used during the process and once again - no item in my set up is ever re used twice.

WHAT KIND OF PIGMENT DO YOU USE? IS IT VEGAN?

All brands that I use are manufactured by major companies who's information can be provided upon request, for health/allergy reasons. The color pigment I use is indeed vegan and contains no animal byproducts. The black that I use has no glycerine, bone char, and no animal products whatsoever. If you have more specific questions or concerns you are welcome to discuss them with me.

WHAT'S YOUR POLICY ON TOUCH UPS?

Getting a touch up after your tattoo is not a standard practice, and should only be done should something go awry in the healing process. Common reasons people need touch ups is that the tattoo got too dry, was picked or scratched at during the healing process, wasn't being treated with the proper products, or faced some sort of friction or trauma by an outside force while still healing. Health conditions and personal hygiene can also be a big factor.
I guarantee everything that I do and will do a touch up free of charge if necessary for up to 6 months. Please keep in mind that our body's skin is in no way comparable to the quality of paper or other mediums for art. There are a million factors that go into the structure and longevity of your tattoo including elements and basic wear and tear. I will only touch up older work that's existed longer than half a year for a set price or while performing another tattoo on you, for free. This can be discussed in person or email.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS?

I understand that life happens and emergencies come up. 24 hours is a reasonable amount of time to give a cancellation notice, if it's a non-emergency. I will happily reschedule you if you're unable to make your original appointment.
